After school is shaping the next generation of students in Huntington Beach.

Common Ground is a Christian nonprofit in Huntington Beach giving middle and high school students a safe place after school, trusted adults, and a path toward life with Jesus.

Huntington Beach has a hidden story

In the Huntington Beach neighborhood of Oak View, many students carry pressure most people rarely see. After school can mean empty apartments, crowded homes, street pressure, or adult weight too early.

When students need belonging, someone will offer it. We want it to be people who know their name, love them well, and point them to Jesus.

Be part of the place students can count on.

Common Ground HB shows up with meals, clubs, homework help, Bible studies, camps, and mentors who stay.

Students are known by name.
Trust grows over time.
Faith becomes real in daily life.

Safe spaces.
Real relationships.
Faith that lasts.

A Place After School

A consistent, welcoming place where students can come after school to relax, eat, connect with friends, and feel secure in an environment designed just for them.

Trusted Adults

Mentors who take time to listen, build real relationships, offer guidance, and show up week after week so students know they can count on them.

Life with Jesus

Bible studies, prayer, and honest conversations that help students explore faith in a way that connects to their everyday experiences and questions.

Consistency changes students.

The streets are consistent.
Stress at home is consistent.
So care has to be consistent too.

For more than 12 years, Common Ground HB has served Oak View students through daily presence, practical help, and Christ-centered love.

STUDENTS ARE FINDING A PLACE TO BELONG
