Common Ground HB creates safe, consistent spaces for Oak View students through weekly clubs, Bible studies, campus ministry, camps, and family events. Every program has the same goal: build trust through real relationships so students can experience the love of Jesus in everyday life.

WEEKLY CLUBS
Safe spaces after school
The hours after school are crucial. Our weekly clubs give students a place to go, trusted adults to connect with, and something healthy to be part of.
Some clubs help with school.
Some build life skills.
Some create joy.
All of them help students feel known.

Every Monday after school, students have a quiet place to study, work on assignments, and get help from leaders and tutors.
Homework Club gives students support when school feels heavy and helps families carry that load.

Every other Thursday after school, students learn simple cooking skills, share food, and build confidence.
Around the table, conversations happen. Students try something new, learn practical skills, and build trust with leaders who care.

Every other Friday, students step outside their normal routine and try something fun together.
Adventure gives students space to laugh, build courage, see more of the world, and experience God’s goodness in fresh ways.

Every other Wednesday night, students gather for one of our most loved programs.
Soccer creates a healthy place for competition, connection, and friendship. It also gives leaders a natural way to build relationships that continue off the field.

Every other Thursday, students walk through Oak View and help care for the neighborhood.
Clean Up teaches students that they can make a difference right where they live. It is simple, practical, and good for the whole community.
BIBLE STUDIES
Helping students know Jesus in real life
Bible studies are some of the most important spaces we create.
Students share a meal, play games, open Scripture, and talk in small groups about faith, identity, choices, and life.
These nights help students understand who Jesus is and who He created them to be.

Every other Tuesday night, middle school students gather for a meal, small groups, and games.
Middle school is a formative season. This night gives students a place to feel known, ask honest questions, and begin building a faith that feels personal.

Every other Tuesday evening, high school students gather for a meal, games, and small groups.
This ministry began through the heart of a father in the community. Today, it gives older students a place to build friendships, talk about real life, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
OCEAN VIEW CLUB
Student-led faith on campus
Every other Tuesday during lunch, we host a club at Ocean View High School.
This club was started by one of our students with a simple mission: to share the gospel with classmates.
Students gather for food, a game, and a short devotional. Ocean View Club helps Common Ground reach students beyond our regular programs and gives student leaders a chance to live out their faith right where they are.
CAMPS & EVENTS

Camps and events give students and families meaningful experiences outside their normal routines.
These moments build trust, deepen relationships, and open doors for conversations about life, faith, and Jesus.

Every summer, students head to the beach for Surf Camp.
Each Tuesday includes surf lessons, a meal, and Bible study. The four-week camp ends with a local camping trip in Malibu.
For many students, camping is a brand-new experience. Surf Camp gives them a chance to try something new, build courage, and connect with leaders in a setting they will remember.

Each winter, middle and high school students spend a weekend at Thousand Pines.
For many students, this is their first camp experience. Winter Camp gives them time away, space to breathe, and focused time to grow in their relationship with God and with leaders.

Once a month, we host Noche de Cine in the neighborhood.
We set up a big screen, share food, and watch a family-friendly movie together. While many programs focus on middle and high school students, Noche de Cine is for the whole family.
These nights help us build stronger relationships with parents, siblings, and neighbors in Oak View.
